This presentation will look into the effect of lifestyle and training environment changes caused by Covid-19 pandemic on a soccer players. Physical fitness data taken before and during the peak of the pandemic, especially the cardiovascular fitness component will be the focus of discussions in this presentation. Hardship and uncertainty faced by players and coaches will also be the talking point during this presentation.

Nor Ikhmar Madarsa

Nor Ikhmar Madarsa is a professional soccer strength & conditioning coach and experienced in training professional, amateur and development teams in the Malaysian League. Started his career professionally in 2011 with the Perak FA team, PKNP FC (2015-2019) and most recently with the Perak II team. Possessing AFC 'B' Coaching Certificate and AFC Fitness Coaching Certificate Level 1. Graduated with Master of Education (Sports Science) with interest in Strength & Conditioning from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Completed undergraduate study in Bachelor of Sports Science and Diploma in Sports Studies from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). Apart from serving professionally with the elite soccer team, Nor Ikhmar Madarsa is also directly involved with the Perak SUKMA soccer team in achieving a gold medal for 2016 and 2018. Nor Ikhmar Madarsa is also one of the instructor for the Sports Science Course run by the National Coaching Academy (AKK, ISN). Ikhmar currently starting his own fitness brand called Blackout Fitness House.
