Hybrid courses (online + face-to-face workshop) for career development as a physical conditioning professional in Malaysia.

0

Level 0: Understand basic concept of fitness enhancement, and it's safety precautions. Able to select qualified instructor(s) for his/her community. Able to coordinate general fitness activities aiming at healthy lifestyle for his/her community.

Physical Conditioning Professional

Level 1: Goal setting, need analysis & session's plan.

Conduct safe and effective strength training & physical conditioning session for community and recreational athletes. Able to determine training objectives, perform basic need analysis, develop session's training plan and conduct the session accordingly.

Level 2: Programming and monitoring.

Able to determine training objectives, perform need analysis and develop training plan for  general population, recreational and development athletes. Able to develop periodized strength training and physical conditioning program. Able to create own performance monitoring kit, perform performance monitoring process and able to understand the data collected in relation with the periodized training program.

Level 3: Effect and modification

Able to determine training objectives, perform need analysis, develop training plan, develop periodized training program, do performance monitoring, determine effectiveness using scientific approach (research) and perform modification for further enhancement, for development level and elite level athletes. 

Physical Conditioning Professional Courses Prerequisite (Entry Requirements)

Level 3 Strength & Conditioning Course

  • Completed Level 0 and pass Level 1 and Level 2 not more then 3 years before enrollment into Level 3.

  • Have a Bachelor Degree in Sports Science or currently enrolled in Final Semester of the program.

  • Have a current (within 2 years) CPR certificate from legally registered medical personnel/organizations. 

Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Course

  • Completed Level 0 and pass Level 1 not more then 3 years before enrollment into Level 2.

  • Have minimum a Diploma in Sports Science or currently enrolled in Final Semester of the program.

  • Have a current (within 2 years) CPR certificate from legally registered medical personnel/organizations. 

Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Course

  • Completed Level 0.

  • Level 1 Sports Science certificate from National Coaching Academy OR any equivalent certificate.

  • Have a current (within 2 years) CPR certificate from legally registered medical personnel/organizations. 

Level 0: Community Fitness Leader

  • Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) (Malaysia Certificate of Education) with minimum or equivalent.

  • Pass Pre-Exercise Questionnaire (PAR-Q).

  • Currently active in sports or fitness.

LEARNING & ASSESSMENT PROCESS

  • Online learning via online modules.

  • Face-to-Face practical workshop.

  • Continuous assessment throughout all the learning process (quiz, practical assessment and assignments).
